If you are not yet a resident of Suwannee County, we welcome your interest and want you to know that we are a well rounded, family oriented community. Our school system is excellent and the county abounds with leisure activities for all. The Suwannee River, with all its potential, surrounds the county on three sides. Whether you are looking for a place to relocate your family or business or seeking a place to vacation Suwannee County will meet your needs!

The Live Oak Partnership would like to invite you attend an Open House event on Thursday, August 19 at 6:00pm. This open house will take place at the Live Oak City Hall Annex (the old Daniels Funeral Home) for a time of introduction of newly elected board members and a formal presentation of the Downtown Revitalization Vision Plan. This presentation will be made by consultant Jim Beeler, and will feature powerpoint slides, photo boards, and printed information as well as a time for questions and discussion.Light refreshments will be served.

Suwannee Hamilton Vo Tech National Skills Champions! After taking 1st place in the SkillsUSA Florida State competition Ethan Butts, Nicky Raines and brothers Cory and Dillion Voss, took 1st place at the National competition in Kansas City, MO. Competing against 30 other high schools from across the nation these future leaders in the construction industry from the Suwannee Hamilton Vocational and Technical center brought home the GOLD!! The President of the Suwannee Valley Builders Association will recognize the young men with their Coaches, teachers Derwin Bass, Bob Mekela and Jimmy Norris of Southern Heritage Builders, a member of the Builders Association July 24 at 6PM at the Suwannee Middle School Cafetorium. Carl Miller, Executive Director of the Skills Florida will be the guest speaker. All of the community is welcome to recognize these outstanding young men. The Suwannee Valley Builders Association is proud to be one of the sponsors of this Team. CONGRATULATIONS MEN!!! |
