Friends of Heritage Park and Gardens Opens Disc Golf Course
Heritage Park & Gardens Friends of the Park board members recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and thanked the Suwannee County School Board, Superintendent and School District Wellness Committee for their support and partnership in helping make the new Heritage Park Disc Golf Course a reality. During the past two years, Suwannee Parks and Recreation has worked with the Wellness Committee to help fund three new wellness activities for the School District employees, which also benefit the entire community. The Wellness Committee has provided a total of over $30,000 in equipment for Exercise Stations at the First Federal SportsPlex in Live Oak, Hatch Park in Branford and now the new Disc Golf Course at Heritage Park. Many thanks to all those involved in each of these projects.
